Flash Player for Android 2.1

Android being one of the most popular mobile phone Operating System in the world has released many versions of it over the time. As now the latest version is the 4.x Ice Cream Sandwich released on 19 Oct’11 and latest modified on 4 Feb’12, but the older Android 2.1 Eclair version still has its credibility. Released on 26 Oct’09 the Android 2.0 Eclair version has its some improvement over the time. One of its improved version is the Android 2.1 Eclair released on 12 Jan’10 with Linux kernel 2.6.29. As market surveys say that 2.1 Eclair has 7.6% share on usage compared to most popular 2.3 Gingerbread acquiring 58.6%.

As we know that flash player is quite essential in our system for the sites to view which are flash enabled like YouTube. The flash player competency is available for the Android 2.2 Froyo and above versions. Though the Android 2.1 Eclair doesn’t have the flash player but we can download and install it in our phones, tablets. The Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is available for the Android 2.1 Eclair version.

To download and install it in our phones there are some small steps involved which are quite easy to follow.

  • First of all we have to download the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 .apk file from the site given to our computer or any device that we are using.
  • Now we have to copy the file to the phone’s SD card root directory not any other sub folder. It is quite important that the file must be there.
  • Next we have to launch our app installer and we have to follow the installer’s instructions to locate the .apk file. If we don’t have any app installer in our phone then we have to download one from the Android market. According to Android Market’s review Easy Installer is a good one (Average Rating 4.6).   • After getting installed the flash player by the app installer we have to restart our phone and we are good to go with flash player in our phone.
